Since our entry into the market in the 1990's, our fiber cement products have continued to gain share in the Philippines building boards market, predominantly because our products have several advantages over more traditional building materials.

Incorporated in 1998, James Hardie Philippines Inc. provides durable building solutions for the Filipino families. In 1998, a world-class fiber cement plant was established in Cabuyao, Laguna, representing one of the biggest Australian investment in the country.

Productivity and efficiency gains at the Cabuyao plant have put it in an excellent position as an export hub for the Asia Pacific. Currently, much of James Hardie's export sales to the Asia Pacific region are sourced from Cabuyao, representing 30% of James Hardie Philippines Inc. sales.
